Description
Iodine is an element utilized by the majority of marine organisms, crucial for cellular function and for incorporating it into their exoskeleton. It is also utilized by sponges, soft corals, and hard corals. In corals, it is used for pigment synthesis, influencing their coloration to adapt and protect themselves from various UV radiation conditions.
Xepta Reef I-UP! is a concentrated solution of Iodine, Fluorine, and Bromine that addresses deficiencies of these elements in saltwater aquariums and promotes the blue and purple coloration of corals.
Do not use together with Xepta Reef Balance, as it could lead to a toxicity issue by doubling the dosage of this element.
Contents: Iodine, Fluorine, and Bromine.
Dosage: 1ml per 100 liters of aquarium water per day.
Iodine is an unstable element within the aquarium, removed from the water column by the skimmer, activated carbon filters, and animals, so its availability to corals is quite limited.
